LDV stands for Leyland DAF Vans, a former British commercial vehicle manufacturer. It was established in 1993 and produced a range of vans, minibuses, and light trucks. However, it faced financial difficulties and went into administration in 2009. Its assets were later acquired by Chinese company SAIC Motor, which has continued to produce the LDV Maxus under its subsidiary, LDV Automotive.
