In 2017, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) introduced the Vehicle Standards Guide (VSG-16). This was put in place to better regulate towing with heavy vehicles over 5000kg Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) using 50mm tow balls and 50mm couplings. Complying with this standard Part of the new regulations require, for new towbar fitments (the regulations are not retrospective), a compliance label to be affixed to the towbar clearly identifying the new limits for towing with a 50mm tow ball and coupling. To help our customers meet this new standard we have produced a range of 20 different Truck Towbar Rating Labels ready to be applied to the towbar at fitment. These labels comply with the labelling requirements, as issued by the NHVR, and cover the most common range of truck GVM values
